Download and installation help
Check the file and device requirements before installing.
Download the right file
- Open the app detail page and check its name, developer, version and minimum Android requirement.
- Select Download. The preparation page checks availability before handing the file to your browser.
- Check the browser download list for progress. A download request does not mean installation has completed.
APK and XAPK installation
For an APK, open the completed file and follow Android’s installation prompt. If needed, allow installation from the browser or file manager you are using, then turn that permission off when finished.
An XAPK may contain split APKs or additional resources. Android’s built-in installer cannot open this archive directly. Use these steps after downloading the complete XAPK file.
- Download and install the APK for VInstall first (Android 5.0 or later). If Android asks, allow the browser or file manager you are using to install it.
- Wait for the XAPK download to finish. Open VInstall in Normal mode, tap Select File and choose the .xapk file from Downloads. Do not rename its extension to .apk.
- Check the app name and required package parts, then tap Install. Allow VInstall to install apps when Android asks and follow the confirmation through to completion. Normal mode does not require root or Shizuku; you can turn the installation permission off afterwards.
Leave space for extraction and installation. An installer cannot fix an incompatible Android version, device architecture or update signature. Game XAPKs with OBB data may also encounter Android/obb folder restrictions on modern Android; follow the error message and do not disable device protection to force installation.
When an update will not install
Compare the package, Android requirement and signing identity with the installed version. Updates normally need the same signing identity. Keep important data backed up before removing an app; uninstalling can delete local data.
If a link expires, return to the app page and prepare a new download. A network failure can leave an incomplete file; check its completed size before opening it.
